Donation For MS

Lincoln MS Therapy Centre has received a donation of £1,000 from local Lincolnshire businesses Stokes Tea & Coffee and Banks Long & Co.

The donation follows the success of the highly anticipated 2018 Lincoln Monopoly competition which was hosted by Stokes at the Blue Room, The Lawn. The marathon started at 3pm with 30 players competing until six finalists were left. Jerome Wright from Gusto Construction was this year's winner.

Nick Peel, managing director at Stokes Tea & Coffee, said: "It was a fantastic event raising money for a really worthy cause. The Lincoln MS Therapy Centre is doing some amazing work and we're delighted to help contribute to the charity as a way to give back directly into the community."

Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a long-term disease that affects the central nervous system limiting mobility and cognitive function. It is estimated that MS affects at least 100,000 people across the UK and is generally diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40.

Maureen Patten at the Lincoln MS Therapy Centre, which is part of a national membership organisation, said: "The 2018 Lincoln Monopoly competition was a brilliant event and we are incredibly thankful that Stokes and Banks Long chose to support us as we rely on events like this to continue the great work we do.

"The funds raised will make a huge difference as we're looking to invest in some new physio equipment in order to boost our offering for our members."
