There are various ways that Elves contact each other and travel, here are just a few examples:
Elfin PostThere is the Elfin Post, which is run by the Elves so assigned to this very special group. These Elves are responsible for all the general communications in all the many different forms between the Elves and are often entrusted with carrying very special messages for the Elfin Chieftains and Elfin Elders.
Tapping ToadstoolsSpecial and very magical Tapping Toadstools that have been specially created so that Elves on reaching one can contact other Elves; these are often used for emergencies and are only known to the Elves. The Tapping Toadstools only work for the Lincolnshire Elves.
Woo-Di-Woo birdThen there is the Woo-Di-Woo bird that often is used by Elves to send messages, but the Woo-Di-Woo bird can often get sidetracked by other things that attract his interest on route, so it’s not always the fastest way if an Elf uses one, but a Woo-Di-Woo bird has never lost a message yet.
Magical Knock-Knock TreesMagical Knock-Knock trees are very, very special and can transport actual items from one Knock-Knock tree to another, but these cannot be for living creatures as it does not work for them. For example an Elf on finding a shiny new coin, could place it in a Knock-Knock tree, close the little wooden door and say some special magical words and that coin would be transported in the blink of an elfin eye to the Knock-Knock tree the elf requested. It then knocks to let Elves know that it has something.
Animals & fantastic creatures. For travel the Elves walk mostly, this always keeps them very fit, and Elves are very fast and fleet of foot. It has always been known that it is virtually impossible to catch an Elf. If the elves travel greater distances they ride on animals and birds, as well as other fantastic creatures that they know about.
Elfin FleetThe Elves also have their own boats and an Elfin fleet that harbours in two magical and hidden ports on the Lincolnshire coast.
Elfin Aircraft and Elfin AirfieldThere is also an Elfin Airfield with the oddest flying contraptions you have ever seen. These are still in development and being
experimented on by a band of enthusiastic Elves who love the idea of making funny machines. Being Elves, all the machines are
environmentally safe.

We may tell you of other wonderful ways the Elves communicate with and travel by, but for now these will remain secret ...
