The ONE Event 2012 was the first event bearing this new name, though there are some that will know this event from previous years being known as The Grapevine.
However the event was renamed to ONE to reflect the new vision and growth of this Christian Movement and what has now become a very popular event.
So there is ONE God, ONE Lord Jesus, ONE Bible, ONE Truth, ONE people, ONE Love, ONE Vision and now the ONE Event.
The ONE Event 2012 was an event for people of all ages that provided an opportunity for Christians from all backgrounds and denominations to gather to celebrate the Christian faith at a safe and relaxed area as well as those who are passionate about seeing the church go forward and have a growing influence for good.

There were people from around the world who had come to the event and several flags from around the world flew proudly on the campsite that had been set up on the Showground.
The Event had plenty of talks, activities and areas of interest in a relaxed setting with the Big Top tent having impressive speakers and music.

A great aspect of this event was the exciting events for children, where all ages were catered for. The JELLY BEANS group were for children aged 3 to 5 years, while the GOO crew catered for children aged 5 to 9 years.
GOO, in case you are wondering, stands for God Over Ordinary, and just as a bit of fun they also have a goo tank where the children can vote for one of the GOO leaders in the team to be gooed. See pictures on our Facebook site HERE!
Children aged 10 to 14 and 15 to 18 are catered for in two separate ACCELERATE groups with music and entertainment, again with a Christian theme running through it. ACCELERATE is so named for as they put it to the youth: “We want you to accelerate your relationship with God and live your life in 3D in church, in schools & colleges and beyond.”
The teams take child safety very seriously and each member/leader is put in charge of a group of children whom they get to know and look after throughout the session. Well organised with the aim of the children having fun in a Christian setting and the parents know their children are safe.
Inside the event it was a warm friendly atmosphere where people were helpful, friendly and caring. The security in and around the ONE Event was first class with a dedicated team ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Certainly an event for Christians and even non Christians to visit and experience in what is a very friendly atmosphere.
Great music, great events and great people.
