Football, a game of a nation, a sport, a passion and to some, life itself, but there are times like recently when you wonder just what on earth the players were thinking.

Some would say it’s just a bag of wind being kicked about a pitch. True in a sense, but our over paid Politicians and some district Judges are useless bags of wind and no fun at all, where as the football is a bag of wind that is fun to watch and requires skill, though you do sometimes wonder about the skill bit.

Below are two hilarious examples I found that made me smile and shake my head. They make you laugh though not if you are a supporter of the teams involved at the wrong end of these mistakes.

Thankfully neither are Lincolnshire County football teams, though I’m sure some supporters will quickly point to similar outcomes.

If you know of any embarrassing mistakes by our teams, let us know here at LincsMag.com.

In this match between Harrow Borough and Waltham Abbey, a total of eight goals were scored, but it's the goal that was never scored by Rocky Baptiste that amazes you the most. Harrow Borough went on to win 5-3...

A Pair of Safe Hands

And moving onto another match, with Farsley Celtic goalie's terrible own goal...
