The highlight of the year for many local families, businesses and the agricultural industry is almost upon us with just one week to go until the gates open for this year's Lincolnshire Show on Wednesday 20th June. The two day event at Lincolnshire Showground is now in its 134th year. With activities available from 8am until 6pm on both Wednesday and Thursday, the line-up has something for all of the family to enjoy.

This year's show coincides with the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force and what better way to commemorate this achievement than with a series of themed displays right at the heart of bomber county itself. The Show team have confirmed that the RAF Falcons will be making a special appearance on both days and families can also witness exciting RAF fly pasts from a Dakota, Spitfire and the Scampton based Red Arrows too.

The 2018 show also sees the return of the popular Aviation Zone which encourages enthusiasts young and old alike to get up close to cockpits as well as meeting representatives from a range of local aviation heritage centres.

Staying true to its roots, the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society organised event will feature over five hundred sheep and over two hundred cows amongst its livestock categories. Fans of equine competition will also not be disappointed with over a thousand entries in the various classes available over the two day schedule.

For those who like to shop, this year's show promises a range of options including over six hundred trade stands offering everything from clothes, jewellery and shoes to cars, lawnmowers and hot tubs!

Many show visitors (including the LincsMag team!) are foodies and this year's show will feature cookery demonstrations from local chefs alongside food stalls that offer a range of tasty treats from our fabulous Lincolnshire producers.

The show is expected to attract over 60000 visitors to the event over two days and organisers are reminding people that they can save time on entrance and receive reduced price tickets by booking in advance. Advance tickets are available online until Sunday 17th June.
