The Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership are to host two events in the county next month to promote the benefits of apprenticeships. The first event will be held at the New Life Centre on Mareham Lane in Sleaford on Thursday 2nd March and the second session will take place at Lincolnshire Showground at Grange-de-Lings on Friday 24th March.

Each session will be free to attend and both will follow the same format. They will feature a panel of experts who can give information about the positive impact apprentices can have in the workplace. Attendees will also be able to find out about grant funding that is currently available and there will be networking opportunities.

The events are aimed at businesses who are not required to pay the Apprentice Levy. From April 2017, businesses with an annual pay bill of more than £3 million will have to pay an Apprentice Levy each month which is charged at 0.5% of their annual pay bill. The local events are for smaller businesses that are exempt from this charge.

Both events will run from 9am until 11.30am and breakfast will be provided.
