Retro Festival Coming To Newark

Building on the success of previous events elsewhere, Retro Festival is coming to Newark Showground next weekend. The event promises vintage and classic cars, military vehicles, an airshow, vintage and retro fashion as well as music and dancing from the 1930s through to the 1980s.

The site opens in the evening on Friday 9th June and the entertainment is set to continue all weekend through to 11pm on Sunday 11th June. As well as onstage entertainment, visitors will be able to join in the fun by having vintage style make-overs and riding on traditional fairground rides. If shopping is your thing then the organisers are promising more than one hundred retro and vintage trade stands selling everything from clothing to furniture.

Retro Festival is family friendly and suitable for all ages. The organisers are keen to support charities and this year's event will be raising funds for the Children's Bereavement Centre in Newark.
