If you think of Poppy and children’s clothes then you might remember the clothes in the 1980’s that were created by Stephanie Richardson that were all ruffles and bold, floral prints but were still a traditional little girl’s fashion.

Then sadly fashions changed (and not for the better many would say) and so Poppy went quiet. Or should I say hibernated until Stephanie Richardson’s daughter, Bryony a textiles graduate, woke her up again to embark on some thrilling adventures with her dog, Fred.

The Style

It’s a wonderful style harking back to the more innocent times when little girls were little girls and not trying to dress up as their older pop star idols. It's easy to see that the contemporary colours and shapes of their dresses hark back to the 1930s.

Their fabrics now feature the adventures of a little girl called Poppy and her little dog called Fred, and are depicted ingeniously on the borders running around the hem of each dress, which leads it to be a very special must have for any little girl.

Bryony has created it so that a little storybook comes with every dress, allowing the owner of the dress to follow the adventures of their favourite characters. The fabrics and storybook tell the story.

Made in the North-East

Her dresses are nostalgic green, blue and pink tones and cotton, being shrink, fade and crease resistant as well as able to wash at 60 degrees.

The dyes you will be pleased to hear are formaldehyde free to be safe for babies and the cotton is strong and durable so everything that you buy will last for years and years.

Close to home is the way this Yorkshire based firm like it, so as much of their clothing is made here in the North-East of England, which is great news for Lincolnshire parents wanting to buy and support close to home.

Wonderfully, nothing is wasted and all the left over bits of fabric go into producing make-with-mum kits, purses and other small items that can lead to hours of fun with Mum.

Being eco friendly (always a big thing with us here at LincsMag), they have produced their brochure online for you to download.
