You may know 3M or even use s some of it’s famous brands, which include Scotch, Post-it, Scotchgard, Thinsulate and Scotch-Brite, but now 3M, the diversified technology company, has started an online competition to support the UK launch of its Car Care range.
‘The Cleanest Car’ competition, which can be found at www.thecleanestcar.com, encourages car enthusiasts to upload photos of their car before and after they have cleaned it.
The winning entry will bag an all-expenses paid trip to Sweden for “the ultimate Koenigsegg experience”, which includes riding in and detailing a Koenigsegg with competition judge and world-famous master detailer Paul Dalton.
Created and managed by social media agency FreshNetworks, 3M’s Cleanest Car competition will also be promoted through blogger outreach and other social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
3M is serious in its aims to raise awareness of its Car Care range and is so confident that people will be impressed that they are encouraging people to try out the company’s products for themselves by offering a 20 per cent discount to all competition entrants, thus ensuring everyone is a winner in one form or another.
Matt Bailey, New Business Development Manager at 3M explains: “We want to make the kind of showroom finish you see from professional car detailers accessible to consumers, so decided to make a range of products available for them to buy online.”
So how serious are they? Well, 3M is a $23 billion diversified technology company that has been creating innovative products that help make the world healthier, safer and more productive since 1902, so I guess they know a thing or two and with this competition, even if you just tried out their products with a 20% discount, we still think you’ll come out a winner.
