THE SUPERB ESTATE confirms Skoda as one of the world's most innovative and exciting car manufacturers. It is not only the most luxurious car the company has ever built, it is one that sets new standards for quality, practicality, design and value.
Sitting at the top of the Skoda product range, the Superb demonstrates that through bold design and engineering innovation, the VW owned car manufacturer has created one of the most desirable cars in the sector.
It also enhances Skoda’s reputation of offering customers a value for money proposition.
The Superb delivers a first-class ownership experience and the estate model features a load space that is simply enormous.
I got two pushchairs in as well as all the other stuff that goes with having a young family – and there was still plenty of room for more.
It's a function that gives the Superb a serious place in the family estate car market.
The interior is so roomy and well appointed that the Skoda Superb sits well alongside Mercedes, Audi's and the like. Seriously! In fact, the Superb is so enormous in the back that it offers more legroom than a Mercedes S-Class.
With a variety of petrol and diesel options, the Superb can meet the demands and requirements of a much broader range of customers. In addition, the Superb is offered with four-wheel drive for the first time ever – on the 1.8 TSI petrol, 3.6 petrol and 2.0 TDI CR 170bhp diesel models – along with DSG twin-clutch automatic gearboxes on some versions of the car.
Quite simply the big Skoda delivers outstanding value for money.
The Superb range consists of S, SE, Elegance, as well as GreenLine trim levels. I had the Elegance 2.0 TDI 140 estate. What a car!
All models feature air-conditioning as standard, ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), seven airbags – including driver's knee airbag – and, of course, more room than you can shake a stick at!
This Skoda is truly superb by name and superb by nature. It is so good that you would question why anyone would pay more when, at prices starting at just under £18,000, you can enjoy this quality level of motoring experience; in fact a similarly-sized car from a German brand, could easily cost £10,000 more. It really is an outstanding car.
