Broken

When the feelings won't subside, be still. When all is too much to bear, bare all. When the doubt consumes, trust. When you feel you have to hold on, let go. When you fear, embrace it. When it hurts so damn bad, let it linger.

Let the feelings navigate the way through the circumstances. If we do not, we live within the restrictions.

Necessary to feel them, and just as important to understand them. Yet, it is how we chose to better the outcome that matters most.

When you know you will fall and there is no one to catch you, open your eyes along the passage. In the moment of a tear filled down pour, taste the sorrow. Within, you will find the release of pain and anguish, and a relief begins to set.

When your reflection peers at you and it is unbearable to meet eye to eye, shatter what is afore you. Watch the puzzle unfold. Look into the individual shards and see yourself as the making of a motley of reflections and broken fragments.

Divulge in one piece at a time and soon you will see another image. Once moulded together again, all becomes clear. Even with the cracks and chipped pieces it becomes easier to see, You, as a whole image.

We do not break even and cannot see ourselves as just one being. We are made of so much more. And when you find you, the cracks fade and chips begin to heal.

Mirror Mirror

..Blink... Breath... and OPEN.

There she waits. A mirrored version starring upon me. Such eyes of intensity glaring through from the other side. The eyebrows formed a crooked frame, accentuating the depth of her vision.

Leaning over the water soaked tiles, both hands placed themselves on the glass. So cold, it feels. As cold as though she appears. I have come so close, the brush of an eyelash sweeps over her iniquitous face. What does she see? Is she looking past, or facing what is afore her? How long until it shatters?

The face, I recognize. Even the flecks of gold scattered amongst the hazel eyes are true. Yet, my reflection, not belonging to me.

Amid

When a heart aches,
it falls into a territory
of endless uncertainties.

Against reality
and future hope,
it knows no boundaries.

A beauty
rests amidst this grief.
Solitude
of the unknown.

A relief
I revel in.
