It is true to say that on the whole cats are very cheap, and possibly this fact that accounts for
a great many cats being badly treated.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!
There must be many thousands
of homes where our little friend the cat is regarded merely as a mouse-catching machine, and
sadly there is no effort that is made to understand this wonderful animal, and look after it
properly.
One can easily acquire a young shorthaired cat, but there are also very aristocratic
cats, which are extremely valuable, and if the reader is thinking of buying a cat of that kind
you should make a point of having it examined by a good veterinary surgeon before you part
with your hard earned money.
I would also advice on insurance, medical for all cats and also
against theft etc for expensive breeds.
